Rise’s latest report in a series on how the legal system fails women experiencing family violence in BC. Building on Rise’s research results in our wildly successful Why Can’t Everyone Just Get Along report released earlier this year, Are We Ready to Change? provides practical recommendations for lawyers to improve their practices, including family violence screening considerations, the need for strategic litigation, and addressing legislative gaps, as well as reviewing recommendations from survivors of violence on what lawyers and legal professionals can do to increase safety for women and children.
